которая была изготовлена года три назад. Музыканту инструмент понравился, 
и он поделился своими впечатлениями на Harmony-Central.

Made in Russia at the Shamray shop. Your basic Jazz Bass replica layout: 
ash body with a nice sunburst, AAA quartersawn flamed maple neck, 20 frets, 
graphite nut, 2 single coil pickups with large polepieces, nitro finish. 
Came with a nice Gator case.

Sound: 9
I am primarily a guitar player, but when I pick up the bass I try to sound 
like John Paul Jones, John Taylor, or Jack Bruce. This bass hasn't let me down yet. 
It can go from bright and snappy to thick and furry sounds. I run it through 
a Hartke or a '63 Fender Bassman. Sounds much better than my old Cort, 
and I wouldn't change a thing.

Action, Fit, & Finish: 10
I got this bass slightly used but with the original strings. The acion and 
setup work well for me. The nut is nicely cut, the frets and finish are 
flawless. The flamed maple neck is pretty and easy to play. The sunburst 
is classic Fender. It's all good in this department. 

Reliability/Durability: 8
I've owned it for six months and so far everything is fine. I'm hoping 
it gets better with age. Gets and 8 because it's still young.

Bought it used, so I don't know. I've never contacted Shamray directly.

Overall Rating: 10
I've been noodling on bass for six or seven years(guitar for ten). 
My other gear consists of electric guitars and guitar amps. If it were lost 
I would get another one like it. 
My favorite feature is the all around feel of the instrument - it just 
feels "right". It balances well, plays great and feels very solid. 
I can really approach this instrument with confidence.
The sound and looks exceeded my expectations. All in all it's a great bass. 
It is also the first Shamray to hit American soil, so it's got that 
going for it, too.
